Great photos from a classic show make for a lovely calendar.

Love it!

I was a fan of the X-Files from day one. I religiously watched the original series and the movies, but haven't seen the 2nd series yet. Coming from that perspective, this calendar may please such a fan. It even has two months with Robert Patrick featured in the photo stills - nice.If you're not an X-files fan, this isn't for you. If you're an obsessive fan, this may be a bit of a let down. The calendar quality is on the chincey side and the photos, while good quality, aren't of any truly special scenes. You get classic Mulder and Scully, The Lone Gunmen, and the Smoking Man, but for the most part it is "b-side" content at best. If you have to have an X-Files calendar on your wall in 2019, this is your only choice, but I'd rather have something with more creative content that doesn't feel like an afterthought cash-grab.~ Kort

This is a standard sized wall calendar for 2019. It lists the basic holidays that you expect to see on a normal calendar. Each month has a different picture from the X-Files. A few of them, like the one of Cigarette Smoking Man, are very nice shots that you might enjoy looking at. Unfortunately, the rest are a mediocre group of seemingly random screenshots. Most of them do not depict particularly iconic scenes or exciting moments.It's not a terrible calendar, but it could have been much, much better.

As a big X-File fan I wanted to believe . But there must be a better calendar out there. this one just fails to impress. the pictures while from the original series failed to capture the iagination or memorialize the bestg episodes. And while the iconic characters make an appearance the photo quality is less than exemplary. Otherwise it is okay,pretty much on a par with most commercial calendars. Not impressive enough to be abducted by aliens, it may please a diehard fan.

This is a nice wall calendar for hardcore fans of "The X-Files." That said, the pictures included in the calendar could be better. It's almost like the company making the calendar sought out the cheapest photos they could find. I'm sure that's not the case, but I think the overall quality of this calendar could've been increased exponentially if whoever researched/approved the photos would've done a better job. Even so, my son is an "X-Files" fanatic and loves this calendar. So I guess it works for hardcore fans.

When I first saw this, I expected it to be a tie-in with the newer episodes of X-Files. But, this is mostly classic photos spanning early through late episodes in the 90's - early 2000's. It was nice surprise to see a calendar similar to the ones I enjoyed buying back in the late 90's. This has that retro feel that those original X-Files merchandise had during that time. The calendar is made of a good stock & the pictures look great. There are pictures of Scully, Mulder, Skinner, Cigarette Smoking Man, Doggett, Reyes, McMahon, Lone Gunmen, etc. Highly recommended for old school X-Files fans - especially those that one something to hang up at work.

This is the most amazing bridge book for teaching I have ever used for my classes. Eddie Kantar is not only a great bridge player, he has written a fantastic book on defense. The information is clear and concise. Each concept is explained in detail and includes an example. Never before have I ever insisted my students purchase a bridge book. In this case, I required all students to buy the book and suggested to some of my partners who, by the way have over 8-10,000 masterpoints to read Kantar's book. I keep reminding myself that half the time you will be a defender – and it can even be more difficult then being declarer when you have knowledge of two hands. I read the book a little bit at a time. A great book for defense technical tactics.Whereas most books strive for various common strategic defensive situations, this book is different. It strives to give you and your partner the best agreements of when to signal attitude, count, and suit preference. I learned several things I didn't know before, and I've been playing this game for over 40 years. Great on opening lead conventions, signals, and a lot of rules of thumb about when to cover and when not to, which is great because you need to do these things quickly and in tempo. This book will improve the bridge defense of virtually every player out there.

This book is about a young man that had everything, athletic scholarships, top of his class academically, movie star looks and charisma, only to have it ripped away from him at the age of 15 over a small incident that triggered his OCD mental illness . The story is how he suffered for 31 years., At different points in time he would get well and started moving on to his goals only to relapse time and time again. He was always having to start from the beginning. With his medical background from his time in college and medical school, he careful he analyzes neurochemistry, pharmaceuticals, and the metabolic processes of the human body. He talks about the delicate balance of how the human body works and how inbalance can create disaster. That disaster can be exasperated by side effects of pharmaceuticals directly and indirectly. He was able to cure himself and remain symptom free for almost a decade. There are many lessons learned in this book from his journey and his amazing solutions and insights. Had he only become a scientist one could imagine the problems he could’ve solved. I completely enjoyed his journey and the information I was able to take away. I bought some friends this book. He states that there’s no magic bullets that resolves everything, rather it’s a combination of everything being in harmony. Everything is backed up with documentation and research. This book was written using the scientific method based on a hypothesis and he himself is the clinical case study. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. I hope the information is spread on how to be healthier, fitter, and happier. And I hope anyone that suffers from any kind of physical or mental illness can rethink how they can get themselves back to a healthy state.

Inspiring, brilliant, and incredibly accurate. How do I know? I am the author's mother, and lived the journey and have enjoyed the fruits of his theory, and hope it helps others. At 92 years of age, the validity of InfinitE/IQ has and will continue to allow me to enjoy my grandchildren for years to come. Certainly if there was one doctor I would want as my physician it would be Robert; it is a shame his medical school will not allow him to resume his studies despite excellent academic achievement of those completed 2 years. It is a book for all, and a book that I feel can reshape the treatment of the human psyche and physical. With pride 5+ stars, and a mothers testimony to facts, and the files to prove all.

I bought this book to gain some understanding about OCD and how it can be treated without drugs. Robert's journey to manage his OCD and take control back of his life tears at your heart. This is a great book and resource about OCD. I never knew there was so much difficulty in dealing with OCD. Robert's ideas for how to make positive changes in your brain without drugs and manage OCD are solid, research-based, and thoroughly explained. This is a good book if you want to learn more about an alternate therapy and treatment. Robert provides helpful tools in conquering OCD with practical applications.

If you love potatoes, then you’ll be in potato heaven with this cookbook. Notwithstanding the variety of dishes that can be made with potatoes, there are the old favorites, such as, Irish Cream Delight, Lemon and Honey Carragreen Pudding, and Irish Whiskey Cake, just to name a few. I’m going to have a good old time with this cookbook. My only question is, the White Pudding. I know Black Pudding, but not White Pudding. This will be another new addition for me to try.

They did not include pictures of the cookies to help figure out what to do. Yes the book was only a buck, but after reading many electronic books, find that the publishers are not proofing what they produce. Yikes.

My husband has been studying Masonry for years and decided to join his local lodge. Since I couldn't join Masonry I joined the Eastern Star but I'm more interested in Masonry than anything else. This is by far the most in depth book we've read on the subject and really gives a lot of insight into the higher degrees. The Royal Arch is definitely a book for those who are interested in the esoteric meaning and mystery school teachings of Freemasonry. It would take years for a person to research the information in this book and you can tell the author really understands the deeper meanings of Masonic symbolism, degrees, and rituals. We are giving copies to his brothers at the lodge as Christmas presents. The contents of the book could easily take up three volumes with the amount of information and illustrations. I was initially a bit apprehensive about the price until I got a copy in my hands and realized how extensive it is. Highly recommended.

An enormous amount of work went into this book. It is laborsome to read and extraordinarily circumstantial. I found the introduction wearisome and boring. The author struggles to make the points. I found myself having to set the book aside frequently in order to wade through to the end. The author's use of language will deter most members of the Craft from ever reading this work. In the next edition it would be well to simplify the text remembering who the audience is that might be interested in this book.

For the Esoteric Mason, this book is a key to the door of hidden truths of the many subjects within Freemasonry. This Author is truly a Modern day Albert Pike and is at the forefront of Esoteric Masonic Material and his in depth knowledge on such subjects will enhance the consciousness of the all ready initiated mind. There is so much material contained on these pages that you may need to refer to it later on in your journeys. Such a beautiful big book, perfect for your Lodges Library and for sharing as discussion topics within your own Lodge.

This book is a must read for any Mason who is interested in the Esoterics surrounding our craft. Robert has a very easy to follow writing style. He's thorough in his research and his opinions are spot on. It is a bit of a read, but I assure you, it's well worth it.

Wonderful read, from start, to finish.I've read many books on Free Masonry, but this one has more details in it, than any of them.Get this, & Genesis 6 Conspiracy, & you probably won't need to ever purchase another book on the subject.

Kindle version is very poor. Transcription is bad with little punctuation and words either omitted or misspelt resulting in having to repeatedly reread to try and make sense. The whole book is riddled with the above.

I really like what I am reading so far, I’m not finished but so far Jay really breaks a lot of things down about the art of rapping and the music industry. I think the illustrations are decent but I don’t really like the verses pages with the explanation of the word play in small print, I think it’s the small print that turns me off. Otherwise so far the book is great, I recommend it to anyone who likes Jay or just in love with Hip Hop. I also think Jay lets his guard down a lot in this book, talking about growing up in the Marcy Houses in Brooklyn during the birth of Hip Hop, coming of age during the Crack Epidemic and loving Big Daddy Kane in his Heyday. What I’ve learned is that Jay is a good listener and he pays attention to what’s going on around him, he’s not ashamed of his hustling past (which helped him evolve in the rap game and as a business man). Oh man I’m just loving this book so far. As I progress through the book I will add more to this review, stay tuned...

I'm not someone who has the patience to sit down and read often.A book has to be really compelling.I may be biased because Jay-Z is my favorite rapper and I do consider him the greatest ever.Furthermore,I find him to be a very interesting person in general.I got half way through the book and stopped because it's hard to focus on a book and plan a wedding simultaneously.So far I'm enjoying it,although some of the dialogue became redundant as for me being that I've seen so many interviews with Hova.That being said,there are some parts that are really fascinating and make me appreciate J as an artist even more.The book really can seperate the true intellectual hip hop head from the person who is a front runner or fan of ringtone rap.Fans of "today's hip-hop" probably won't appreciate it.PPL who connected with Jay's transition from street hustler to corporate hustler will embrace it...especially if you appreciate both aspects of his life.In other words,if you were as impressed with the lyrics in his Grammy Family Freestyle as you were with some of his earlier work (as I am),then you'll love this book.If you're narrow minded and you only care about his hustling days or the materialism associated with hip hop,it'll probably bore you and go over your head.I especially dig the dialouge describing him and a less than impressed reporter regarding his use of Che Guevarra rhetoric and memoribilia.To wrap things up,I don't have the attention span to read as often as I should but this book captivated me as long as any other has.It's a good read and I can't wait to pick it back up once my life returns to normalcy lol.

I re-purchased this ebook after losing access to it over the years of activating too many Kindle reader apps on the span of several different devices. The one reason I had interest in reading this book was simply on the fascination of the wealth of knowledge I remembered reading the first time + to reclaim the dominion of owning the publication once more. Shawn Carter [Jay Z]’s nuance of the type of life that he lived in light + hope to see a difference made in his life through the course of changes in it that life presents was inspirational and always is + has remained integral in my own life’s progression and advancement throughout the years passed.

This is one tale that only one person can tell about Jay-Z - Jay-Z himself. It shows enlightenement and leaves us; the audience to juxtapose it to just education. Priceless life experiences can set you on the right part. This is Hovi's politics, his street life, his mentality, his musical genius and other things you wanted to know about Jay. This is not a literary classic, its Jay-Z story, an impressive rendition of himself by himself. First hand look at some of Jay-Z's lyrics, why he sold drugs at a very young age, how he refused to accept that it cannot be done and proceeded to do it. Maybe Jay-Z's naysayers will see why he is respected by both underground and mainstream rap listeners, this is why, at least if you refused to listen to Jay, at least read this book. Form your own opinion, forget about hearsay. The way he makes use of homonyms kind of explains why it seems Jay can flow on any beat, he cares about the rhyming a lot, but most importantly the delivery of the message in the song. One artist that we wont forget in a hurry is Jay-Z, not just about his music, but about the choices he had to make in life and how he overcame from almost nothing.The only thing i have a problem with; why did you give it all away Jay? lol.

Inspection by Josh Malerman is a slow-burning tale about two groups of children, one group of boys and one group of girls, that are raised as a science experiment. The goal is to prove that they can accomplish brilliant things if only they weren’t distracted by the opposite sex.When I first read the blurb for this book, I was so excited that I preordered it right then and there. Unfortunately, I think I let my high expectations get the best of me for this one…While reading, the slow burn format of the story was definitely bumming me out a bit. I don’t love slow plots to begin with. In this case I was definitely expecting more of an intensely sinister tale.Repetition was also a major issue for me. There was just so much of it, that it had me skimming from time to time.Once I had finished reading the book, and thought back about how the overall story played out, I definitely respected the way that the author organized the story line. I really enjoyed how innocent things seemed for the most part. I especially loved when you got little glimpses into the darkness behind everything. But I, personally, would have liked the story more if it had gone a bit darker.Then there was the ending… Now that was by far my favorite part of the book. The ending was intense! It was a horrific ending; there was darkness, violence, lots of blood, and a one element of very torturous revenge.I felt like the very end finally showed how dark and intense these towers were. I found myself equally pleased with how well the darkness was hidden from the reader and the children throughout (though there were certainly hints of it throughout the story) and bummed that we didn’t get more of the darkness earlier.While the slow burn format and the repetition just wasn’t my favorite, I would still say that I enjoyed this read. I thought the idea behind the tale was super interesting and eerie!While I probably wouldn’t re-read this one, I would still definitely recommend this to others! And I would really love to see this one adapted into a film!

Right now is a great time to be Josh Malerman.The success of the Netflix Original, BIRD BOX, based on his horror novel of the same title, is staggering. I'm not at all surprised. Great books make great movies. Everything that is excellent about the film, is due to the fact that Malerman's story is a sweet set up for a film adaptation. I *felt* that book in a very tangible way so it was so cool to see that translated to the screen by people in the industry that respected Malerman's work and honored the story.During the maelstrom of the movie buzz and Bird Box memes, I received, INSPECTION in the mail.(thanks Del Rey & Josh)I went into this novel totally blind (not blindfolded though, I wanted to SEE)I actually only read the synopsis right when I was ready to read it. I was excited to learn that this story could be Malerman trying his hand at a coming of age tale! To me, INSPECTION sounded like a dark fantasy with horror undertones and a coming of age theme and that is exactly what it was but SO MUCH MORE as well because absolutely no author working today shares Josh's imagination.This book is totally original.It's almost alien in origin because everything is so completely unexpected.Broken up into acts, Act one is the set up and an introduction to Malerman's world building. At first blush, you're tempted to be overwhelmed by all the newness. Young characters are identified as letters of the alphabet, special words are capitalized to signify importance (I kept track of these in a notebook), phrases are repeated, some adults have acronyms for names, I mean, this isn't lazy reading. Josh Malerman wants you sitting up in bed with your reader-engagement turned on. I got a real sense that I wasn't going to be spoon-fed some sloppy drama but that there was some serious intentionality going on.In fact, I felt like I was reading this book for my Freshman lit teacher, Mr. Emmett who taught his class all the signs of good storytelling like, mood, story arcs, narrative, symbolism and foreshadowing...yes! All those things! Pay attention Reader--Josh Malerman is *doing* something here.Moving into Act 2 was so exciting because the focus turned to the young protagonists. There was some great dialog and character development here and I was thankful for it. Also, some important themes are set in place in Act 2 that will carry through the rest of the book and then BLOW YOUR MIND as the conclusion begins to unfold.And then from about the middle of the book to the end--I was SPELLBOUND.What a strange, insidious, magical, beautiful story this was.There's nothing like it and there will never be anything quite like it again. This is, at its core, a cautionary tale. It tackles some big themes of Love and Loss. Hope. Fear. Oppression. Revenge. Uprisings. Passion.The human spirit.Unquenchable desires.Nature vs. Nurture.Raising children.Freedom and Restraint.I could write an essay. I really could.But this is one of the first reviews and all the reader discovery needs to be yours.I'm just here to tell you that I loved this book and you should preorder it. Now.
