I got this book thinking that I would be learning about how each famous person found their 3rd door. I like the concept of the 3rd door and do believe it is a fantastic way to look at life. However, the book isn't about what the 3rd door was for these people. It was more about him trying to get interviews with famous people and getting rejected. I hate to give the author one star because you can see how important writing this book was to him. I found about Alex from the Cathy Heller podcast when she interviewed him about this book and it was a fantastic interview. Just listen to the podcast and skip the book.

Bought these for my daughter for Christmas. She read 490 minutes in a 10 day Christmas vacation break and won her entire school's reading award. She couldn't stop reading these books and reading was really hard for her before this. She had to be coaxed into reading before she got these books.

These books were a gift for my eight-year-old daughter who just started loving to read. She flew through these books and loved every minute of it. I would find her reading in bed at night, I would find her reading in bed first thing in the morning. She wanted to talk to me frequently about the things going on with the characters in the book and how great it was. These books are the perfect addition to any second or third grader who wants small chapter books. Maybe even first grade depending on their reading level. It’s fun and quirky and definitely kept Her attention

I love This book series a lot and I have one book with 5 stories that I reed to my 4 year daughter and she loves it. The book I have is hard cover and wonderfuly illustrated with best quality paper. So when I bought this set I was hoping for similar quality even though I saw it was paper cover. But when I received this set I was greatly disappointed with the quality of paper. It is gray paper in black and white print. The paper is such inferior quality worse then throw away coloring books. I could see my daughter was very disappointed too. I am returning this set and will be looking for another one to replace it. I am giving it 3 stars because the story is great but publishing is awful I would not give even one star for the quality.

I love Amelia Bedelia Books but these books are in black and white with hardly any pictures.

Best book series. If I have a child that sad, I bring out an Amelia Bedelia book. We read it together and it is so funny that a smile will come onto the child's face. I would highly recommend this series

My 6 year old grandson is having so much fun reading these and is making up his own Amelia Bedelia-isms.

My daughter loves these books and she just turned 6. :)
